1. Introduction

Welcome to Zavovo (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Zavovo is an online booking platform that allows users (“Guests”) to book accommodations, units, and venues. Some units on the platform are owned and managed directly by Zavovo, while others are owned and operated by third-party hosts (“Partner Hosts”).

By accessing or using the Zavovo website and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use our platform.

2. Nature of Services (Hybrid Model)

Please be aware that Zavovo operates in two capacities:

  1. Zavovo Managed Units: For units explicitly marked as “Managed by Zavovo,” we are the direct provider and responsible for the quality and safety of the accommodation.

  2. Partner Host Units: For units listed by third-party owners, Zavovo acts solely as an intermediary booking agent. In these cases, the contract for accommodation is directly between you (the Guest) and the Partner Host. Zavovo is not responsible for the condition of these units or the conduct of the Partner Host.

3. Account Registration

To make a booking, you must register an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Fees and Payments

  • Total Price: The total price for a booking is clearly displayed before you checkout. This price includes the accommodation rate and any applicable taxes.

  • No Hidden Fees: You will only be charged the amount displayed at the time of booking.

  • Payment Processing: By confirming a booking, you authorize Zavovo (or our third-party payment processor) to charge your payment method for the total amount due.

5. Booking and Confirmation

  • Immediate Booking: For “Instant Book” units, your reservation is confirmed immediately upon payment.

  • Request to Book: For some units, the Host (or Zavovo) must approve your request. The booking is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email.

  • Identity Verification: We reserve the right to require a government-issued ID (e.g., Egyptian National ID or Passport) for security verification prior to check-in, in compliance with local regulations.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation policies vary depending on the specific unit and the Host:

  • Strict / Moderate / Flexible: Each listing displays a specific cancellation policy. It is your responsibility to read and understand the cancellation policy before booking.

  • Refunds: If you are entitled to a refund based on the specific policy of the unit booked, Zavovo will process this to your original payment method.

  • Force Majeure: In the event of government lockdowns or natural disasters preventing travel, specific extenuating circumstance policies may apply.

7. House Rules and Damages

  • Compliance: You agree to abide by the “House Rules” specific to the unit you book (e.g., no smoking, pet restrictions, quiet hours).

  • Damage Policy: You are responsible for leaving the unit in the condition it was in when you arrived. You acknowledge that Zavovo may charge your payment method for the cost of repairing any damage caused by you or your guests during the stay.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Egyptian Law:

  • For Partner Host Units: Zavovo explicitly disclaims liability for any accidents, injuries, or damages occurring in units owned by third-party Partner Hosts. We do not inspect or warrant the safety of third-party listings.

  • General: In no event will Zavovo be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific booking giving rise to the claim.

9. Prohibited Activities

You are prohibited from using the platform to:

  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose under Egyptian law.

  • Make fake or speculative bookings.

  • Contact Hosts for the purpose of bypassing the Zavovo platform to book directly (off-platform booking).

10. Intellectual Property

The text, graphics, logos, and software used on this website are the property of Zavovo or its suppliers and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Cairo, Egypt.
